Kinkakuji
The Golden Pavilion in Kyoto, looking particularly golden thanks to the low sun shining over the trees and onto the front of the temple. There were quite a few people around so it wasn't as peaceful as it looks, but not far off it.
Arashiyama
I went to Arashiyama in November last year, but it was dark by the time we got there. This time round we could appreciate the colours of the autumn leaves, though it wasn't much warmer during the day than it had been at night the previous year.
